Lost World producers will throw open their farm gates for the annual Farm Gate Festival on Saturday June 25.

Visitors to the spectacular valley can stop at six different locations for entirely different experiences – all of them fun and full of flavour!

The event is a perfect, relaxed way to learn more about where fresh food comes from and to have an authentic farm experience.

Start the day early at Tommerup’s Dairy Farm where the family will be milking the herd from 7am. Kay and Dave will introduce visitors to their four and two-legged farm family and a Farm Café will offer an incredible selection of products, all made from Tommerup milk, pork and beef. The Café food is being prepared by Boonah local Sam Savery, from Scenic Rim Event Catering. Bookings essential via www.tommerupsfarmstay.com.au

Just down the road, pull into the beautiful Kirro Homestead where you’ll see working dogs muster the cattle. Enjoy a morning tea spread of local products.

At the end of the valley you’ll find Worendo Olives. The farmers are holding an open day, offering tastings of some of the delicious olive products. Sample and buy wine from local wineries and stroll through the olive grove. Bring a picnic and spread your rug by the river.

Try one of the Kerry Valley Woodfired Pizzas, made on-farm using local produce.

Or pull in to the Christmas Creek Café for a hands-on pies and tart cooking activity.

The Stinson’s Park Markets will also be on, offering customers the chance to buy fruit and vegetables grown by the local Christmas Creek community.
