You can’t beat local’s knowledge when it comes to exploring a new destination.
Join Tamborine Mountain chef and foodie, Terri Taylor, for a delicious tour of the mountain’s fresh produce.
Terri’s tour starts with morning tea and a cooking demonstration at her Tamborine Cooking School.
Then it’s onto a minibus for a tour of two local organic farms. Enjoy a picnic lunch, prepared by Terri, at the Witches Falls Winery, where you can try some of the award-winning wines.
Terri says Tamborine Mountain is a lush growing region and produces a bounty of produce, much of which is sold via honesty systems at roadside stalls.
“There’s so much more up here than avocado and rhubarb,” she says.
“These days there’s loads of ginger, turmeric, garlic … people are putting their greens out there, kale and chard and a lot of citrus.
“On my tours I will share my local knowledge of where to go and what’s available but we will also visit farms that are not usually open to the public.”
Tickets are $99 and spaces are limited.
