The Scenic Rim Producer Lunch at Wild Canary Botanical Bistro was a sell-out success.

The lunch was one of a number of pre-Eat Local Week events held in the lead-up to the festival of food and farming.

Wild Canary Head Chef Glen Barratt is an enthusiastic supporter of local farmers and a vocal advocate for sourcing produce close to his kitchen,

In the lead up to the lunch Glen and his kitchen team visited the Scenic Rim to meet the producers and learn more about the region and the farmers.

The lunch was a celebration of Scenic Rim farmers and the new EAT LOCAL book by Tamborine Mountain residents Christine Sharp and Brenda Fawdon. The pair spoke about their journey to 26 Scenic Rim farms and how they created the book which tells the stories of local producers, with the help of Christine’s incredible photography and Brenda’s amazing recipes.
