Revisit the 2024 Eat Local Month Program
Long Lunches & Dinners
In 2024, 40 scrumptious long lunches, degustations, and dinners, were thoughtfully crafted by our talented local producers and chefs to honour Scenic Rim’s finest produce.
These culinary celebrations unfolded against the stunning backdrops of lush vineyards, charming breweries, scenic mountaintops, serene olive groves, and century-old jacaranda trees, as well as in our most prestigious restaurants.
Family Friendly
Food-loving families enjoyed a delightful lineup of fun and educational events!
They strolled through carrot paddocks, picked fresh produce, cuddled adorable farm animals, and savoured cozy campfire cookouts. The highlight was the Winter Harvest Festival, where families indulged in a variety of delicious offerings.
Workshops & Classes
Our Scenic Rim producers shared their knowledge and expertise, offering participants hands-on learning and deeper insights into the region’s rich culinary and agricultural traditions.
Participants enjoyed cooking over an open fire, blending spirits, sustainable farming, edible flower picking, bush tucker cooking, cheese making and more!
Tours & Experiences
Visitors uncovered the secrets of native rainforest flavours and honed their winemaking skills at Tamborine Mountain.
They harvested vegetables alongside fifth-generation farmers, toured a working poultry farm and visited Summer Land Camels, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest camel dairy. Each tour revealed unique facets of the region’s agricultural heritage and made for an unforgettable experience in the Scenic Rim!
