The Winter Harvest Festival, a signature event of Scenic Rim Eat Local Month, offers an ideal experience for coach tour groups seeking a fabulous day out.

The festival takes place in the picturesque country town of Kalbar, just over an hour from Brisbane and 90 minutes from the Gold Coast.

Held on the last weekend of Eat Local Month, this festival showcases a delicious array of 60+ market stalls where you can sample beer and wine that’s produced in the Scenic Rim, cooking demonstrations as well as witness the World Famous Tractor Pull!

Better yet, there’s plenty of group friendly attractions in the region to explore and include in your tour.

To assist our coach group partners, we will have a dedicated Coach Group Reception area just outside the grounds of the festival for convenient guest drop off/pick up. Free Entry is provided for coach drivers and hosts for registered tour groups of 10+ guests. Please register your visit with our groups coordinator. Your tour details will then be promoted on this page free of charge.

Group Entry for groups of 10+ guests is $12 per person.
If you are wanting to pay on arrival, we do accept eftpos just no cash or cheques.

Fermented Food Festival

The Fermented Food Festival is a unique, educational and sensory-rich experience for coach tour groups looking to offer something a little different during Scenic Rim Eat Local Month.

Held at Summer Land Camels, just over an hour from Brisbane and 90 minutes from the Gold Coast, the festival brings together food lovers, curious minds and passionate producers in a stunning farm-gate setting.

Across two dedicated education spaces – the Main Stage and Demo Marquee – guests enjoy a full program of talks and hands-on demonstrations covering all things fermentation. From gut health and sourdough to kombucha, kimchi, miso, kefir and more, the program features expert speakers and practical insights that are both informative and engaging.

Beyond the festival program, groups can experience everything Summer Land Camels has to offer, including camel patting and feeding, guided farm tours, camel rides and relaxed dining at the on-site café – making it an easy, all-in-one destination for coach itineraries.

With its mix of learning, local produce and memorable farm experiences, the Fermented Food Festival pairs beautifully with other Scenic Rim group-friendly attractions and is ideal for food-focused, lifestyle or special-interest tours.
