Winter Harvest Festival is the ultimate farm gate event for families and food lovers alike.

As the signature event of Eat Local Month, this authentic food festival proudly showcases the very best of the Scenic Rim’s culinary offerings. It’s an invitation to literally eat and drink your way around the region, connect with local farmers, makers and producers, and watch cooking demonstrations led by top Queensland chefs and Food Ambassadors – all in one flavour-filled day!

Guests indulged in the flavours of the season's harvest, sampled local beer, wine and spirits, and stocked up on fresh produce as they wandered through more than 60 market stalls
Pack your empty eskies, gather the kids, and bring your friends for a day full of country hospitality and unforgettable experiences.

Market Stalls

Guests filled their eskies as they explored over 60 market stalls offering fresh, seasonal produce, local wines, beers and spirits, cheeses, meats, and more. Alongside these culinary delights, visitors were treated to handcrafted goods and local creations, all carefully crafted by our region’s skilled artisans.

Demonstrations, Workshops & Presentation

The Homestead Kitchen, presented by Moffatt Fresh Produce, returned with a vibrant program of cooking demonstrations. Scenic Rim Food Ambassadors shared their tips, techniques, and passion for cooking with the region’s freshest seasonal produce.

Beyond the kitchen action, guests immersed themselves in interactive workshops led by local producers, learning the secrets behind brewing, distilling and preserving, while the 612 ABC Brisbane team broadcast live from the festival, interviewing farmers, producers and Food Ambassadors, sharing the stories behind the region's incredible food and farming community.

Live Music, Food & Drink

Guests celebrated the region’s flavours with a feast of delicious ready-to-eat options at this year’s festival. Offerings included chicken bánh mì, BBQ'd local beef, wood-fired pizzas, local cheeses, sweet treats and seasonal dishes crafted using the region's finest produce, alongside local wines, beers and spirits.

With live music performances and cooking demonstrations across multiple stages, entertainment was around every corner. Add in tastings, hands-on workshops and the famous Tractor Pull competition, and the festival came alive in a true celebration of local food, drink and country hospitality.

Kids Activities

Designed specifically for the youngest festivalgoers, there were a range of fun and educational activities at this year’s festival. Little adventurers explored the Sprouts Play Patch, enjoying The Very Hungry Caterpillar playdough station, carrot lacing, paint-your-own rocks, flower planting at the sensory table and colourful face painting, while meeting and cuddling friendly animals from Summer Land Camels and the Animal Farm.

For added fun, young event goers explored life size machinery at the Allclass Kubota Tractor Play Area, took part in the Junior Tractor Pull competition, and even enjoyed some competitive carrot tossing.

A Celebration of Lost Culinary Arts

Presented by 612 ABC Radio Brisbane, A Celebration of Lost Culinary Arts, welcomed hundreds of visitors to honour the skills and stories that shaped how we cook, preserve and nourish today. Attendees enjoyed live demonstrations, market stalls filled with handmade goods, the Tea Garden Café and a warm sense of community.

Back by popular demand, the Celebration of Lost Culinary Art recipe collection is more than just a cookbook; it is a heartfelt tribute to the recipes, stories, and wisdom passed through generations.

Tractor Pull Competition

In the much anticipated Tractor Pull competition, there were roaring crowds, fierce competition and teams digging deep for community pride and bragging rights.

In the senior competition, Moffatt Fresh Produce teamed up with The Butcher Co to claim victory for a second year in a row, closely fending off the Kalfresh Vegetables team, with less than half a second separating first and second place.

Meanwhile, the junior competition was just as exciting, with last year's runners-up, the Fasifern Bombers, putting in a stellar performance to claim first prize.  Congratulations to the team for showing what true country strength, teamwork and perseverance can achieve.
