Soar above the Scenic Rim at sunrise and experience the region like never before. Glide over rolling pastures and a patchwork of paddocks, then return to O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyard for a delicious breakfast crafted entirely from fresh, local ingredients.
Citrus Liqueur Creation: Craft Your Zesty Cello
Peel, infuse, and craft your own citrus liqueur in this hands-on experience. Tour the distillery, taste signature liqueurs, and learn exclusive techniques to create your own blend using fresh lemon, lime, orange, or grapefruit. Rise before the sun and take your love to new heights at the first ever Hot Air Ballooning and Producers Breakfast (SOLD OUT) at O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard. It’s sunrise magic, sky-high serenity, and a breakfast bursting with local flavour—the kind of start to the weekend that is a big tick off your bucket list!
Then it’s time to get shaken, stirred, and just a little zesty at Tamborine Mountain Distillery’s Citrus Liqueur Creation Workshop (SOLD OUT) and shake up your relationship with a splash of fun. You’ll tour the multi-awarded distillery, taste their signature liqueurs, and craft your own bottle of vibrant cello to take home—a zesty memento of a sparkling day.
Noon
Swing past Witches Falls Winery for a shared charcuterie board and a cheeky afternoon sip—we’ll call this lunch! Or head to the acclaimed Picnic Real Food Bar for a local produce lunch you’ll never forget. Meet Scenic Rim Food Ambassador chef Brenda Fawdon from Picnic, she’s a sustainable food powerhouse.
Tip: you’re in walking and hiking territory, so stretch the legs and walk up an appetite.
Night
As twilight settles in, head to Mrs Frost’s Kitchen for a romantic long-table dinner by the fire (SOLD OUT). You’ll be greeted with a hot toddy, graze on local nibbles, then settle in under twinkling lights for a three-course feast of Scenic Rim’s best seasonal produce. It’s BYO so bring a favourite bottle, toast your weekend, and take home a sweet gift of local treats.

If you didn’t float your hearts out on Saturday (or you’re just keen to do it all again), there’s another chance to take off on the Hot Air Ballooning and Producers Breakfast (SOLD OUT) at O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard. Or, sleep in, take it slow, and have a lazy local café breakfast instead.
(Pro tip: Picnic Real Food Bar does wonderful brekkies or there’s Franquette Bakery who does an amazing almost croissant and coffee).
Noon
Book yourselves in for a luxurious five-course lunch (SOLD OUT) at Spicers Peak Lodge, where sky-high romance meets Scenic Rim splendour. The food is next-level, the views are jaw-dropping, and the vibe is oh-so-refined. Upgrade to the matched wines for the ultimate long lunch indulgence.
After lunch, take a hand-in-hand stroll around the mountaintop or lounge on a picnic rug and soak in the serenity.
