Beaudesert State High School proudly presents its signature Eat Local Month 2026 event: a fully student-led “Farm to Fork” dining experience celebrating the Scenic Rim’s food, culture, and community.
Designed and delivered by students across Agriculture, Hospitality, Business, and Arts programs, this immersive event showcases real-world skills, creativity, and innovation.
Students raise livestock, cultivate fruits and vegetables, manage sustainability practices, and prepare and serve every dish, ensuring all ingredients are local, ethical, and fresh. With most produce travelling less than 15 kilometres from paddock to plate, the event demonstrates ultra-low food miles and environmental responsibility in action.
Each dish tells a story, connecting the region’s fertile volcanic soils, Indigenous heritage, community history, and student journeys. Arts and Music students bring the event to life with live performances and visual installations, while Business students oversee marketing, logistics, and communications.
Student-led enterprises, including honey and egg production, extend the farm-to-fork journey and celebrate local enterprise and initiative. Guided by award-winning staff, every element is authentic, professional, and entirely student-produced, creating a vibrant showcase of talent, learning, and community spirit.
