Event highlights
Spirit of the Mountain
Spend time in the east and discover the 'spirit of the mountain' at Cauldron Distillery. The event opens with a welcome from the Wangerriburra peoples, the traditional owners of Jambreen or Tamborine Mountain. Hear the stories of their ancestors as they set the scene for this relaxed afternoon of storytelling and song. As the sun goes down, graze on delicious dishes from the Cauldron kitchen made with locally sourced produce and ingredients. Enjoy live performances from legendary Australian artist Ben Lee and other talented local musicians, all while sipping on Cauldron’s exceptional range of locally produced spirits.
Eat Local Produce and Makers Market
Nestled in a stunning hinterland location, this event brings together local farmers, food artisans, boutique market stalls, and live acoustic tunes. Meet the makers, taste seasonal delights, and shop straight from the source. Bring your friends, pack a picnic blanket, and don’t forget an empty esky—there’ll be plenty of local treasures to fill it with.
Feast over Flames
Gather around the fire for an unforgettable long lunch celebrating Scenic Rim’s finest produce. Executive Chef duo Chris & Alex Norman present a five-course menu cooked over the estate’s signature wood-fire grill, paired with exceptional local wines and breathtaking hinterland views. Ending with marshmallow toasting at sunset.
Long Lunch by the Lake
Taste your way through a delicious six-course lunch by Scenic Rim Food Ambassador Olivier Boudon, featuring the finest local produce. Relax with family and friends, soaking in stunning vineyard views over Wyaralong Dam as you kick off the weekend in style.
DAY 1 — Fri 30 May
Morning – Fri 30 May
Kick off the weekend on a high note at Boxer Brewing Co. on Tamborine Mountain, where you and your mates will roll up your sleeves for a one-of-a-kind Brewmaster for a Day experience. Learn the secrets of beer-making from Head Brewer Abby Heslop as you help create a fresh new brew, sip straight from the tank, and enjoy a hearty lunch with epic views.
Noon
If beer school isn’t your thing, head to The Overflow Estate 1895 for a fabulous five-course Long Lunch by the Lake (Wyaralong) at Roastbeef and The Frog. Scenic Rim Food Ambassador Olivier Boudon will serve up lake views and local produce with a French twist—it’s the ultimate start to a weekend of indulgence, plus take a walk lakeside and record your crew with a view!
Night
Book in at one of the luxe group stays in the region—think farmhouses, vineyard villas, or group cabins. Share a sunset drink on the deck or cozy up at a local pub or wine bar. Suggestions include The Tamborine, Beechmont Estate, Wander at The Overflow Estate 1895, Tamborine Mountain Glades, Verandah House Country Estate, Scenic Rim Farm House, Herrmann House, or The Old Church Bed & Breakfast. Think drinks, cheese boards, and plenty of laughter to end the day.
For those staying at Tamborine Mountain, head to Robert Sowter Park for a sunset that’s guaranteed to take your breath away. For those staying around Boonah, take a drive past the iconic Dugandan Hotel and up to Mount French—there’s a short walk to a breathtaking viewing platform overlooking the region’s patchwork of paddocks.
DAY 2 — Sat 31 May

Start your Saturday morning right with a stroll through Main St on Tamborine Mountain, where an array of cafés and coffee shops await. Pop into Picnic Real Food Bar to taste delicious locally sourced dishes, or visit Franquette bakery on Gallery Walk and try their award-winning almond croissants and toasties.
If you’re an adventurer at heart, work off the pastries on the Curtis Falls Circuit (3km round trip) – a fab hike through lush rainforest to beautiful Curtis Falls. It’s a short and easy walk that takes less than an hour to complete.
Noon
While you’re on the mountain head to The Loborn Tasting Bar for a Modern Amaro Tasting. Sip your way through this uniquely Australian take on the classic Italian apéritif, made with native botanicals and those from Tamborine Mountain. It’s the perfect pitstop between rainforest rambles and long lunches.
Or experience a true celebration of the rich food culture in the Scenic Rim at the Foraged, Fired and Farmed Lunch (SOLD OUT) in the newly renovated historic barn at the world-famous Binna Burra Lodge. This event will bring fire-cooked flavour to the table—think smoked brisket, grilled corn and wild greens. For a change of pace, take a scenic drive through to Sarabah Estate or O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards, for a leisurely lunch paired with local wines.
Night
The ultimate Saturday session awaits at the new Spirit of the Mountain (SOLD OUT) event at Cauldron Distillery (just down the road from Loborn). Start with a Welcome to Country from the Wangerriburra people, then enjoy a sunset picnic, live tunes from Aussie songmaker Ben Lee and local Brett Gannon, delicious food truck fare and local spirits. Toast to friendship, local flavour, and the magic of mountain air. Best you all stay on Tamborine Mountain for this epic event!!
DAY 3 — Sun 1 June

Kick off the day at Picnic Real Food Bar’s Eat Local Produce and Makers Market at North Stores. Wander boutique stalls, meet producers, pick up local goodies for home, and fuel up with barista brews, brunchy bites, and a feel-good mountain atmosphere.

Choose your own lunch feast from four:
- Tacos & Tipples at Witches Falls Winery brings together live music, 25 local beer and wine options and mouthwatering tacos from Scenic Rim Food Ambassador Josue Lopez—perfect for a Sunday sesh with friends.
- High Tea & Cocktails in the Rainforest (SOLD OUT) at Pethers is an elevated, elegant way to toast the weekend.
- Feast over Flames (SOLD OUT) is an open-flame long lunch at Beechmont Estate, where seasonal produceand thoughtful storytelling come together in a stunning fire-cooked finale. With views!
- Rounding out the four is the Longest Lunch at O’Reilly’s, a lavish creekside feast with bottomless drinks and live music among great company. Spectacular!
Night
Spend the final night soaking up serenity with a luxury stay like Beechmont Estate, O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat or The Tamborine Boutique Hotel.
