Long Lunches & Dinners

In 2025, 40+ long lunches, degustations, and dinners were all expertly prepared by our local producers and chefs. Visitors discovered the region’s vibrant flavours in the most breathtaking settings, from fragrant lavender fields and majestic mountain peaks to beneath the canopy of century-old jacaranda trees.

For the first time, some even floated above the region at sunrise in a hot air-balloon before touching down for breakfast, taking in the beauty of the farms and fields that make the Scenic Rim so special.

Workshops & Experiences

From brewing your own beer and harvesting honey to crafting zesty citrus liqueurs and discovering native ingredients, these hands-on experiences were full of fun, flavour, and local flair.

Event-goers were immersed in sustainable farming, cooking, and artisan techniques alongside passionate local experts eager to share their knowledge.

Family Friendly Adventures on Farm

Screen time was swapped for green time as little ones got their hands dirty digging in the soil, picking crunchy carrots straight from the paddock, and decorating cupcakes with freshly picked edible flowers. They met friendly farm animals, saw behind-the-scenes of working farms, and even gathered around the campfire for a cozy cookout under the stars.

Filled with hands-on fun and unforgettable moments, these on-farm experiences sparked curiosity, creativity, and got the whole family outdoors to create lasting memories together.

Festivals, Farmers Markets & Expos

Only during Eat Local Month could you experience this perfect blend of vibrant farming communities, talented artisans, and passionate makers showcasing the region’s best.

From mountain picnics with live music to bustling local producer markets and farming expos, these one-of-a-kind events brought the stories of the land straight to your plate.

Winter Harvest Weekend

Over one special weekend, the region came alive in celebration of its bountiful harvest and fresh, seasonal produce. Festivities began with the Winter Harvest Dinner at Kooroomba and Lavendar Farm, followed by the Winter Harvest Festival – the ultimate farm gate experience that brought together growers, producers, and food lovers. As evening set in, the Harvest Hoedown delivered line dancing, live country tunes, and a relaxed, feel-good atmosphere.

To round out the weekend, visitors picked fresh produce alongside fifith-generation farmers or enjoyed farm-to-fork feasts and unforgettable country charm.
