Join The Drunken Farmhand and Scenic Rim Cooking Classes for an engaging farm-to-pickle workshop designed for food lovers of all skill levels. This hands-on experience explores the fundamentals of pickling and preserving, including food safety, flavour balance, brine creation, and best-practice storage techniques.

Participants will prepare and pickle their own seasonal produce, creating two 300ml jars to take home. Vegetables can be selected from locally sourced onion, garlic, cauliflower, capsicum, carrots, or cucumbers. Along the way, participants learn how to choose the best produce, build flavour profiles, and confidently adapt recipes for home use.

The workshop concludes with a relaxed tasting session featuring a curated platter of Drunken Farmhand preserves, complemented by a selection of locally sourced sauces and products. Enjoy this finale on the deck or by the fire, soaking in the welcoming, social atmosphere while celebrating the flavours of the Scenic Rim.

Each participant also receives a course book with tips and recipes to continue exploring pickling at home. This workshop is perfect for beginners, home cooks, and anyone looking to deepen their connection to local produce and traditional preservation techniques.
