Spend a day immersed in the joys of farm life at Clandulla Cottages & Farmstay, where families can slow down, explore, and connect with the land.

Hosted by Farmer Matt, this relaxed, hands-on tour gives children and parents a genuine insight into acreage farm living. Over 1.5 hours, guests will meet friendly pygmy goats, sheep, pigs, and laying hens, explore productive veggie gardens, and discover how food, animals, and the land are cared for using practical, sustainable farming practices.

Children are encouraged to get involved with guided animal interactions, a farm passport activity, and a seedling planting experience to take home, helping them build a meaningful connection to where their food comes from. Parents will also pick up simple, achievable ideas for growing, cooking, and living more locally at home.

The day concludes with a casual tasting of Scenic Rim produce, including local cheese, honey, and seasonal vegetables, giving families the chance to connect with the region through its flavours while children enjoy free play.

Designed for families, this immersive farm day offers a hands-on, authentic taste of country life that will leave lasting memories for children and adults alike.

Bookings

Visitors should wear closed-in shoes suitable for walking on grass, dirt, and uneven surfaces, along with comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing, a hat, sunscreen, and a small backpack for personal items. Wet weather gear is recommended as the event runs rain or shine. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. This is a working farm with animals, electric fencing, and uneven ground, so all visitors must follow staff instructions during animal interactions and sign a liability waiver on the day. A light Scenic Rim tasting is included, but serious food allergies should be advised when booking, as dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated, and additional food and drinks are not available for purchase. Pets are not permitted, parking is available on-site with directions provided with tickets, and visitors are encouraged to take photos and share their experience.
